A Moonlit Walk in Austin

After a return to Austin before leaving to New York for a few days, I spent an evening wandering around Austin looking for scenes worth capturing. I started near Auditorium Shores where I found a picturesque shot of downtown Austin, and while setting up for it, the professional next to me mentioned how he was waiting for the full moon to rise.

I killed a few chilly minutes by playing with some settings on my camera, checking out different spots in the immediate area and then finally caught the moon rising between two buildings east of downtown. I managed to take a couple of long exposure shots of downtown and then headed back to drop off my things before strolling South Congress where vivid neon, bright colors, and a full moon left me plenty of options at which to point my lens.
